We started because the GRE prep industry was broken.
In 2010, Dhiraj left a career in quantitative finance to build what he couldn't find: expert GRE coaching that respected the intelligence of the professionals sitting across from him.
Fifteen years. One bet. It paid off.
The bet was simple: a working professional preparing for the GRE doesn't need 120 hours of generic curriculum. They need a GRE coach who can find the 15 concepts actually holding their score down and fix those precisely, efficiently, and on a schedule that respects the fact that they have a demanding job.
Founded in Atlanta. GRE coaching worldwide.
Our first office was a shared desk in Midtown Atlanta. Today we coach GRE students across 14 time zones, from Mumbai to London to Sao Paulo. Every session is still one coach, one student, one screen.
Built by a GRE perfect scorer.
Dhiraj scored a perfect 340 on the GRE. But more importantly, he has coached over a thousand students since, and he'll tell you the score was the easy part. Teaching someone else to think differently about a GRE question in real time is the real craft.
No venture money. No growth-at-all-costs.
We have never taken outside funding. We grow entirely by referral. When 92% of your GRE students hit their target score, you don't need a marketing budget. You need a waitlist.
The GRE coaching methodology behind the results.
We don't sell hours. We sell a diagnostic framework that identifies your precise GRE weaknesses and a coaching process that eliminates them in the fewest sessions possible.
Dhiraj
Before founding The GRE Coach, Dhiraj spent seven years in quantitative finance at firms in New York and London. He scored a perfect 340 on the GRE, holds degrees from Georgia Tech and the University of Chicago, and has personally coached over 1,000 students to higher GRE scores.
He's not a teacher by default. He's a problem-solver who has spent the last fifteen years getting exceptionally good at diagnosing why smart people underperform on the GRE and fixing it quickly.
